Capoeira for Kids
Capoeira Angola for Kids – Music, Movement, and Culture
Join us for a joyful 60-minute journey into the world of Capoeira Angola, taught by Angoleiros do Sertão. This unique class invites children to explore rhythm, movement, and community through one of Brazil’s most vibrant Afro-Indigenous traditions.
Kids will learn:
Movements of Capoeira Angola—grounded, playful, and flowing.
Music & Instruments—including drumming, singing, and call-and-response songs.
Culture & Storytelling—discovering the roots of capoeira as an art of resilience, rhythm, and creativity.
Through live percussion and interactive play, children experience their bodies as instruments—the body as the metronome—building focus, coordination, confidence, and social connection. Each class weaves together movement, music, and cultural learning, leaving kids energized and inspired.
Materials:
Students will need studio shoes.
This program is more than a martial art—it’s a living tradition that nurtures mind, body, and spirit.
